The Staff Education Committee (SEC) serves in an advisory capacity to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs regarding student services, issues and concerns.  The committee fosters student welfare, engagement and community interest efforts.

SEC is further committed to developing those who develop students by advocating quality organizational and staff development as a means of linking Student Affairs to student learning.

SEC works to achieve this mission by:

• Increasing the knowledge of student issues & concerns
• Defining & revising how our services contribute to student success
• Devising a holistic approach to student development
• Focusing efforts that contribute to the goals and values of Missouri S&T
• Further developing staff skills in working with students
