NCAA Division II Athletics program has 16 intercollegiate sports in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The intramural program supports 19 individual sports with over 6,000 participants and 19 team sports with 400 teams.
The Student Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art facility which houses three basketball/volleyball/badminton courts, four racquetball courts, a squash court, an aerobics room and a three lane track, all indoors. Sports equipment for use in the building is checked out with a valid Missouri S&T identification card.
Student Support and Community Standards
Supports students throughout their experience at S&T. By identifying immediate needs, connecting with appropriate resources, and working to develop a personalized action plan, the care manager helps students face challenges and support their well-being and success.
Career Opportunities and Employer Relations
Provides student career services including resume critiquing, practice interviews, career advising, professional development workshops, etiquette dinners, on-campus interviews, and oversight of the cooperative education and internship programs. COER hosts one of the largest career fairs in the Midwest and coordinates employer events on campus.
Provides confidential counseling, consultation, groups, educational programs, and outreach services to promote student well-being. Provides education, information, and resources to students on topics such as alcohol and drug prevention, stress management, and healthy living.
Havener Center & Hospitality Services
Center of community at Missouri S&T. Over 5000 events take place each year in the 105,000 square foot building involving students, faculty, staff and the general public. As the student center for the Missouri S&T campus, the Havener Center offers a place for people to meet, eat, shop, relax, meet friends, celebrate and learn.
Provides world class entertainment to the South Central Missouri area. Leach Theatre hosts an average of 100 events per academic year.
Office of the Dean of Students
Established to foster and protect the scholarly, civic development of Missouri S&T students & further supports the University and its mission by providing a secure living-learning environment. Responsible for defining the behavioral expectations of students while educating the campus community regarding these standards and procedures.
Provides assessment, strategic planning, policy formation, accounting and oversight of divisional services and activities. Also serves as the central administrative unit for several of the specialized services within the division
Provides resources for parents to partner in supporting student development and encouraging student responsibility. Values the opportunity to observe and to be a part of student's personal growth and development.
Manages a variety of living options within a 2000 bed residential program. Housing options range from traditional residence hall style housing in the Thomas Jefferson complex, suite style housing in the Residential College, apartment style in Miner Village along with our downtown housing district. Residential Life provides extensive programming focusing on service, education, and leadership.
Dining and Hospitality Services
The core functions of Dining and Hospitality Services include managing the Havener Center, overseeing contractual services for the S&T Bookstore, vending, and Dining Services, and facilitating Residential Life facility maintenance requests.
Provides reasonable and appropriate accommodations based on the student’s needs and documentation, along with services to ensure students with disabilities have equal access to educational programs and activities offered by the university.
Provides outpatient health care and health education to students. Medical care is provided by physicians and nurse practitioners. Services include walk-in treatment for acute illness and injury, and specialty services by appointment.
Provides administrative and program support to over 200 recognized student organizations, advises fraternities and sororities, offers opportunities to connect with the campus community, and serves as an interface with volunteer and service activities.
Serves the Missouri University of Science and Technology community and the greater Rolla area community by providing a courteous and secure atmosphere for testing and assessment services.
